King of Norway’s Grave, Canna

The Norse and their Norse-Gael allies ruled the Hebrides from the 9th century until the 1266 Treaty of Perth at which time Canna was part of the Sudreyar. There is a burial site from this period known as Uaigh Righ Lochlainn (The Grave of the King of Norway) at Rubha Langan-innis on the north coast.
