Obverse: the crowned head of the King facing front with ROBERTVS DEI GRA REX SCOTORVM. Reverse: a long cross with three pellets in each angle surrounded by two concentric circles. The inner circle; VILLA EDINBVRGh. The outer circle; DNS PTECTOR MS Z LIBATOR MS

Translation: God is my protector and my redeemer
